Abstract
1503759 Electric resistance heating EMPRESA DE REPRESENTACIONES UNIDAS SA 31 Oct 1975 [8 Feb 1975] 45365/75 Heading H5H A wall mountable electric resistance space heater comprises a frame 3, 4 with spaced means attaching thereto an assembly of a plate I bearing a printed circuit heating resistor and a reflector 2, in contact at their peripheries. Screws 14 pass through pairs of co-operating thermally and electrically insulating bushings 11, 12 to attach plate 1 and reflector 2 to frame 3, 4, one of which bushings has an appendix 13 engaging a hole in metallic bridge 15 of the frame to prevent movement of the bushing. The resistance is on the concave side of a dished plate 1, facing reflector 2. A protective grill (5, Fig. 5, not shown) is fastened to rear wall 4 of the frame by means of legs 6 passing through bushed holes in front plate 3 and being fastened in hollow screws (or blind nuts) (8) in rear wall 4. Convection currents of air pass through apertures in the reflector (17, 18, Figs. 6, 7, not shown) between holes at the lower edge of the frame (20) and an outlet gap between the heater plate 1 and frame member 3. A deflector plate (16, Fig. 6) guides the heated air to the outlet. Additional inlet holes are provided in plate 4 behind this deflector. A box (21, Figs. 2, 3, not shown) for housing the controls is also provided, with louvered apertures for inlet and outlet of cooling air.
