1502871 Multi-stage injection moulding KEMP PRODUCTS Ltd 26 March 1975 12707/75 Heading B5A In an injection moulding process involving two or more moulding stages for moulding different parts of the same article of different materials, e.g. a replica of the Canadian flag, different moulds are used for each part and the moulded part is moved from one mould to the next by sprue attachment to a transfer plate one surface of which defines the mould cavity of said part. The one transfer plate having a plurality of sprue passages may be used with each mould or the transfer plate may be separated from a moulded article part and replaced by another. Each transfer plate cooperates with a runner plate and one runner may feed a plurality of sprue passages. A pin may be embedded in the moulded article.
