Abstract

In an inking unit, which is driven by an auxiliary motor for washing, besides washing plate exchange is also to be made possible without loss of paper and with register-maintaining running-on. For this purpose, the train of driving gears (22, 23, 25) is provided on one side of the machine, the driving gear for the plate cylinder is constructed from two cylindrical gears (23, 25) which can be connected by an electromagnetic tooth coupling (31) provided with a register search pin (33), and the driving gear (23) for the rubber-covered cylinder is arranged loosely on the plate cylinder shaft (24) and the driving gear (25) for the inking unit is arranged fixedly against rotation on said plate cylinder shaft. <IMAGE>
