Abstract

1499905 Insulating frames KRAMERALUMINIUMFENSTER GmbH and FURNIER-UND SPERRHOLZWERK J F WERZ JNR KG 24 Jan 1975 [25 Jan 1974] 3197/75 Heading E1J Main and wing frames for a window or door comprises extruded hollow metal frame members 7, 8 on the interior of which are attached poor heat-conducting mouldings 3, 4 of organic fibrous material mixed with a thermosetting resin and covered with a decorative sheet e.g. of melamine resin, the frames being such that both the interior and exterior surfaces fit flush. The main frame member 7 is planar at the exterior and stepped at the interior where the serrated rib 13 fixedly engages a groove in the substantially L-shaped reinforced plastics member 3. The wing frame member 8 is substantially rectangular and is attached to the member 4 by the barbed flanges 14 optionally with a screw 15. The glazing panel is held between the member 4 and the facing 10.
