Abstract

2,4-Diamino-5-benzylpyrimidines of the accompanying formula I, in which R<1>, R<2> and R<3> have the meaning given in the Patent Claim, which are contained as a potentiator for sulphonamides in tablets in which a mixture of sulphonamide and potentiator is present in an amount of 80 to 95% by weight, the mixture having a particle size of less than 40 mu m, and which additionally contain a granulating agent and a disintegrating agent which has a swelling capacity of more than 5 ml/g, the total amount of the two agents being not more than 20% by weight, are prepared by reacting a compound of the accompanying formula II, in which X, Y and Z have the meaning given in the Patent Claim, with guanidine and purifying and isolating the process product. <IMAGE>
