Abstract

1499484 Rotary positive displacement pumps TATRA NARODNI PODNIK 8 March 1976 [11 March 1975] 09189/76 Heading F1F To eliminate axial thrusts in a gear-pump having helical gears, the drive gear 2 rigidly mounted on drive-shaft 5 engages a portion of driven gear 4 which drives a further gear 3 rotatably mounted on the shaft 5. Thus the engagement between gears 2 and 4 produce axial thrusts A, B which are countered by thrusts A', B generated by the engagement between gears 3 and 4. In the preferred embodiment the gear teeth have an involute profile with a mesh coefficient of 0.5 and the total mesh coefficient of the gear train is 1.1.
