Board games.-Draughts and chessmen are fixed to the board, and carry insignias, one of which on each piece is exposed by an open sector in a covering piece. As shown, each piece is made up of an upper portion 15 from which a sector has been cut away so as to expose one of the patterns which represents, below the revolving piece, a vacant space, a red piece, or a white piece, or a crowned piece in the case of draughts, or one of the chessmen in the case of chess. Fig. 3 shows patterns which may be below the revolving portions. In Fig. 2, the draught 15, exposing the red sector 6, is capable of taking the draught 16 which shows the black sector 9 and of occupying the vacant position 17 shown by the white space 7. After each move, the corresponding upper portion of the piece is rotated to expose the appropriate ground plan.
