Abstract

The compounds correspond to the formulae: <IMAGE> in which R<2> denotes hydrogen or hydroxyl, R<3> denotes various partially halogen-substituted hydrocarbon radicals and W denotes a single bond or a cis-double bond. They are prepared by treatment of compounds of the formula: <IMAGE> in which R<4> denotes C1-C3-alkyl, with a sulphenyl chloride ClSR<3> in the presence of an amine and subsequent biological hydrolysis of the intermediates formed. The compounds have bronchodilatory, hypotensive, oxytocic, contraceptive and anti-inflammatory properties and they exert a depressant effect on the central nervous system; they can be used in the corresponding therapeutic indications.
