1496715 Travelling band press filter U PASSAVANT AG MICHELBACHER HUTTE [trading as PASSAVANT-WERKE MICHELBACHER HUTTE] 18 March 1975 [21 March 1974] 11289/75 Heading BID Water is removed from sludge layer 6 on filter belt 1 by pressure applied by belt 7 as the belt 1 moves over stationary convexly curved support screen 4. More water is removed as belts 1, 7 pass between rollers 9, 10. The screen which may comprise a plurality of bars or a punched plastics sheet, preferably scrapes the belt 1 to aid removal of water therefrom. Guide roller 8 may be provided with adjustable brake means.
