Abstract

The preservatives are used alone or mixed. Because of their bactericidal and fungicidal properties, they inhibit undesirable processes such as the formation of butyric acid. The growth of microorganisms which produce lactic acid in the fermentation necessary in ensilation, on the other hand, is not suppressed.
