Abstract

1494649 Induction coils FABBRICA ITALIANA MAGNETI MARELLI SpA 24 March 1975 [8 April 1974] 12120/75 Heading HIT An ignition coil for an I.C. engine comprises a primary winding 1, a secondary winding 2, a laminated iron core 3 and an insulating cap 4 carrying the high voltage terminal 7, which is attached to the core 3, and low voltage terminals 5, 6, the windings and core being vacuum impregnated with polyester resin in an autoclave, subsequently cladded in epoxy resin 8, and fitted with an outer ferromagnetic layer 9 comprising two or more half-cylindrical shells and clamped by a mounting bracket 10.
