Abstract

1493499 Gas filter INTENSIV - FILTER GmbH & CO KG 6 May 1975 [6 May 1974] 19021/75 Heading B1T A gas filter comprises rows of inward flow filter bags suspended from apertures in a tube plate (14) dividing an enclosing housing (Fig. 1 not shown), and each bag has a reverse flow cleaning nozzle assembly adjacent its mouth. Each assembly comprises an annular member 17, which is clamped to plate (14), and a sleeve 23 having an aperture to deliver cleaning gas into member 17. The cleaning gas is supplied through ducts which are built up of aligned sleeves 23 and tubular couplings 22, which have end sections of increased outer diameter accommodating O- rings 22c and are demountably inserted into sleeves 23. Plugs 24 close one end of each duct while the other is connected via a valve (20) to a cleaning gas reservoir (21). Each coupling has a flange 22a which is pushed between adjacent members 17 to prevent axial shifting of the coupling. The easy dismantling of ducts enables access to the clean side of plate (14) for changing the filter bags.
