Abstract

1492030 Masts W E L TAYLOR 7 Feb 1975 [9 Feb 1974] 6030/74 Heading B7V A sailing craft mast 11 having curved leading portion and recessed trailing portion 12 is provided with a member 20 having a luff-receiving portion 21, 24 for mounting a sail 25. The member is mounted in the recessed portion for free movement under the influence of pressure on the sail so that the luff-receiving portion is movable from one side of the mast to the other along rails 14 to provide a smooth continuous surface between the mast and the leeward side of the sail.
