Abstract
1491402 Moulded vehicle tyres O SCHMIDT 19 March 1976 [26 March 1975] 11233/76 Heading B7C A moulded tyre comprises a hollow casing constituted by sidewalls terminating in beads, and a tread, and circumferentially spaced, transversely extending strengthening elements 2 each integrally connected to the casing at the tread and in the lower sidewall regions. Apertures 3 restrict the strain placed on the elements during running. In a section normal to the tyre axis the elements may be arcuate (Fig. 5, not shown), or radial (Fig. 2) and the radial section elements may taper (Fig. 4, not shown) radially inwardly or radially outwardly of the tyre. The tyre is preferably moulded from polyurethane.
