Abstract

149,039. Ennis, L., and Dorman, Long, & Co. April 30, 1919. Metal skeletons covered with plastered wirework.-Cottages and like buildings with double walls are formed of transverse frames comprising roof trusses t, steel angle uprights a, and floor beams b, the frames being connected at the base to longitudinal steel flats e and to the concrete foundation, and at the floor level and eaves by steel angles d. The outer shell consists of metal meshing h embedded in concrete, and the inner shell consists of coke-breeze concrete slabs k coated with plaster m. The roofing is similar to the outer wall with the addition of tiles or, alternatively, is made of boards and slates. The floor consists of steel channels b, metal meshing h, and concrete. The ceiling of the upper room consists of breeze-concrete slabs r laid on the tee bars v forming the ties of the trusses, and plastered.
