Funnels.-A combined stopper and funnel for a petrol or other container is provided with an internally screwy-threaded part to screw upon an externally-screwed ring or like part upon the container. The funnel may be flexible or collapsible so that it can be contained within the stopper and be enclosed by a screw-cap forming part of the stopper. As shown in Fig. 1, the stopper a is internally screw-threaded at both ends and provided with an internal annular rib a<1> against which the flange b<1> at the larger end of the funnel b is held by a screw-collar a<2>. The smaller end of tht funnel is fitted with a screw-plug b<2> having a transverse rib or handle part b<3>. To remove the contents from the container, the stopper a is unscrewed and its other end screwed on to the flange c<1> of the container so that the funnel b projects upwardly. On removing the plug b<2>, the liquid or powder can be poured from the container through the stopper a and funnel b. A gauze d or a perforated plate e, or both, may be provided within the stopper. Fig. 3 shows a telescopic or collapsible funnel held within the stopper g by a screw-cap g<1>. The funnel may be made of any suitable flexible material such as dressed canvas, leather, or rubber arranged over a helical spring f having projections f<1> to engage apertures g<2> at the lower ends of grooves g<3> in the wall of the stopper. When the cap g<1> is removed, the funnel is extended by the spring f ready for use. The stopper g may be screwed at each end so as to be reversible with the funnel extending into the container.
