Abstract
1484950 Developing electrostatic images RICOH KK 12 Sept 1974 [12 Oct 1973 28 Dec 1973] 39726/74 Heading G2H Liquid developer 7 is applied to photoconductive material 9 by granular-surfaced applicator 5, which bears an array of touching grains 2, with developer in the interstices between them. The grains may be spherular, ellipsoidal or irregular, with a mean grain size of 5 to 200 microns, and may be cemented to a substrate 1 or embedded in it. Glass, metal, polystyrene, polyacrylate, polymethacrylate or polyvinyl chloride grains may be used. A film of a water-repellent material may be provided over the grains.
