1484070 Lubricating; valves SOC D'APPLICATIONS DES MACHINES MOTRICES 15 Aug 1974 36007/74 Headings F2A and F2V A fluid distributor for distributing from a single pipe 21 under pressure a plurality of separate predetermined doses of fluid, e.g. lubricant, comprises a series of devices 1b, 1c, 1d. Each device includes a dose measuring cylinder 3b with a piston 2b, adjustable stop means 6b determining the travel of the piston, a slide valve 10b associated with the piston and having a smaller cross-section than the piston, a cylinder 11b receiving the slide-valve and having its ends communicating each with one end of the dose-measuring cylinder of the next previous device of the series, e.g. via conduits 12, 13, and a delivery conduit leading to a point to be supplied with fluid. The slide valve controls delivery of pressure fluid to one end or the other of the cylinder 3b and the delivery of fluid from the other end of the cylinder to the delivery conduit, e.g. via outlets 18, 19. A control block 1a is provided upstream of the devices 1b, 1c, 1d which serves to operate the slide valves 10b &c. in series. In one embodiment the control block includes a slide valve 10a and a dosing cylinder 3a. The valve 10a is moved manually, mechanically or electromagnetically to allow fluid from pipe 21 to enter one end of cylinder 3a via conduit 15 thus causing a piston 2a to expel fluid via conduits 14 and 16 to outlet 18. Fluid also passes via conduit 13 to the next slide valve 10b and the sequence of operations is repeated throughout the series of devices. Return of the slide valve 10a causes reverse movement of all the slide valves and dosing pistons of the series. A counter 23 may be operated by a rod 24 attached to the final piston. In other embodiments there is no dosemeasuring cylinder in the control block and this may include a rotary valve. Travel of the pistons is limited by rods 6b, 6c, 6d attached to screw threaded stoppers 9b, 9c, 9d respectively.
