1483535 Dry cells S RUBEN 24 Sept 1974 [24 Sept 1973] 41527/74 Heading H1B An electric dry cell particularly for a watch comprises a container 1 of stainless steel which serves as the cathode contact, an electrolyte of magnesium perchlorate added to a cathode depolarizer consisting of mercuric dioxysulphate and carbon and pressed into a cake 2, an anode disc 4 of Mg separated from the container 1 by a grommet 5 and from the depolarizer 2 by a cellulose disc 3, an insulating tape covering 6 over the outer surface of the disc 4, the tape having a hole therein to provide a contact surface on the anode, the container being crimped to the grommet and the cell top with a resin seal between the crimped edge and the anode disc.
