Abstract

1481292 Controlling vehicle headlamps SOC ANON POUR L'EQUIPEMENT ELECTRIQUE DES VEHICULES SEV MARCHAL 14 Jan 1976 [14 Jan 1975] 01337/76 Heading F4R Mechanism for controlling the inclination of vehicle headlamps comprises a pair of intermeshing gear sectors 10a, 11a pivoted about parallel axes 8, 9 and connected to the respective headlamps by transmission links 21, 25, the sectors being biased towards one end of their range of movement by a spring 12 acting between them and being turned by a cable 14 connected to a control member on the vehicle dashboard. The control member may be a knob cooperating with a cam or a regulating screw cooperating with a nut. The transmission links 21, 25 are connected to respective bell cranks 4 which carry sockets 3c receiving balls 3b on respective headlamp adjusting screws 3.
