1481176 Low-foam detergent compositions CHEMISCHE WERKE HULS AG 2 Aug 1974 [3 Aug 1973] 34147/74 Heading C5D A low-foam washing composition comprises one or more anionic, nonionic or zwitterionic detergent surfactants and, as foam-depressant, at least 5% to 40% by weight of one or more ethanolamine and/or diethanolamine compounds of the formulae: and wherein R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are the same or different C 5 -C 21 alkyl groups. The ethanolamine and/or diethanolamine compounds may be present in an amount of up to 50% by weight relative to the surfactants. R 1 , R 2 and R 3 may be derived from caprylic, lauric, myritic, palmitic or stearic acid.
