Abstract

1480569 Packaging containers ZIRISTOR AB 9 April 1975 [16 April 1974] 14552/75 Heading B8P A packaging container formed of sheet packaging material comprises a tubular body of rectangular cross-section with means for closing the lower end, and an upper end closure panel 4 foldably extending from each side wall 1, 2, the panels 4 being connected together and being foldable to form a flat closure. A first pair of opposed panels 4 each has at its edge a marginal flap 13 which may be sealed together to form a fin when the panels 4 are folded flat, the fin being adapted to also fold down flat against the closed container end, and having at at least one end a lug 16 which is adapted to be folded against and bonded to the adjacent side wall 1, 2. As described the folding to close the upper end is facilitated by fold lines defining triangles above side walls 2. The or each lug is pasted down and may be provided with weakened tear lines (20) (Fig. 6, not shown). The flap provided with the or each lug may be of the same height as panel 4 so that, when folded down, it completely covers the end panel 4.
