Abstract
Polyamide compositions which contain polyalkylene ethers having secondary urethane groups, of the formula <IMAGE> in which m is a number from 1 to 6, while n is a number of at least 3, R is an m-functional, straight-chain, cyclic or branched, saturated or unsaturated alkyl radical which may optionally also contain heteroatoms, R is furthermore an aralkyl radical, an optionally alkyl-substituted, m-functional aromatic radical, R' is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl, aryl, alkaryl or aralkyl group, and Y is the <IMAGE> group or a hydrogen atom, R'' and R''', independently of one another, are alkyl groups having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl or alkaryl groups, have excellent antistatic properties. These compositions are particularly suitable for the production of shaped articles which are permanently antistatic, including, preferably, carpets.
