Abstract

1480211 Fungicidal composition comprising fatty acid ester or fatty alcohol IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 19 June 1974 [6 July 1973] 32215/73 Heading A5E A composition for combating overwintering fungal diseases of woody plants comprises a surfactant which is a condensate of an alkyl phenol with ethylene oxide and a fatty alcohol or fatty acid ester, the proportion by weight of surfactant to fatty alcohol or ester being at least 1:1; and an additional fungicide e.g. 2-ethylamino-4-methyl 5-n-butyl-6-hydroxy pyrimidine. The preferred fatty alcohols are hexanol, peptanol, octanol, nonanol and decanol and the preferred surfactants are those condensates wherein I mole of alkyl phenol is condensed with 5-13 moles of ethylene oxide.
