Abstract

1477560 View-finders ASAHI KOGAKU KOGYO KK 26 Sept 1975 [30 Sept 1974] 39603/75 Heading G2J A view-finder having an eye-piece 12 includes a prism having entry and exit faces disposed at 45 degrees to each other and perpendicular to the optical axis of the view-finder, the prism being shaped so as to reflect an incoming perpendicular beam in a direction perpendicular to the exit face. As shown in Fig. 3, the view-finder includes two such prisms 9, 11, the prism 9 being a leaf prism. The prism 11 and eye-piece 12 are mounted in a housing 10 which is rotatably supported on a housing 7 of the prism 9 so that the eye-piece 12 may be moved from an eye-level viewing position to a waist-level viewing position.
