Abstract

1476571 Printed circuits CHOMERICS Inc 3 June 1975 [17 June 1974 3 April 1975] 23953/75 Heading H1R [Also in Divisions H2 and B3] A connector comprises an homogeneous mixture of a flexible insulating binding material and conductive particles having a low resistance in one direction between aligned opposed positions on two opposite surfaces of the connector, and a high resistance in the other direction between unaligned opposed portion on opposite surfaces as well as between positions on a same surface separated by a distance of from 1 to 5 times the thickness of the connector. A connector may take the form of a circuit board substrate and have conductive circuit patterns 21, 24 screenprinted on its surfaces and connected to edge pins 26, 123. The mixture may comprise plastics (including natural rubber), copper or nickel particles (optionally coated with gold or silver), glass or ceramic particles coated with a conductor such as a metal or titanium carbide, and silica. The connector may be wedge or step-shaped and have ridges or protrusions; it may be mounted in a frame (20, Fig. 7, not shown).
