1476086 Pesticidal application of carbodiimides SHOWA DENKO KK 26 March 1975 12732/75 Heading A5E [Also in Division C2] An acaricidal and insecticidal composition contains as an active ingredient a carbodiimide of the formula: wherein R is a member selected from the acyclic and cyclic alkyl groups containing 2-18 carbon atoms, a phenyl group, and a phenyl group substituted by at least one substituent of the group consisting of alkyl groups of 1-4 carbon atoms, alkoxy groups of 1-4 carbon atoms and chlorine. The compositions find application in killing imagoes and eggs of mites or ticks and in inhibiting oviposition of ticks.
