Abstract

1475233 Rail truck movers SOC ANON DES ATELIERS DE CONSTRUCTION DE JAMBESNAMUR 21 Feb 1975 7383/75 Heading B7K In a vehicle for pushing another vehicle a hydraulic jack 12 is disposed substantially vertically below a thrust head 7 to act directly thereon. The vehicle shown in Fig. 1 which is used to move railway wagons comprises a frame 1 mounted on a drive wheel 2 adapted to move on a rail. Two auxiliary wheels 3 are carried for transport on the ground. The wheel 2 is driven by an internal combustion engine 4 through a gearbox 5 and drive chain 6, the speed of the wheel being controlled from the rear end of frame 1. The thrust head 7 is mounted on a rack 8 which slides in a casing 9 fixed to two front arms 10, 11 of the frame. The jack 12 is made telescopic with its body 13 resting in a cradle 15 fixed to the frame 11 and easing 9. The head of piston rod 14 of jack 12 acts directly on the lower face of thrust head 7. The jack 12 receives pressurized oil from an engine driven pump 24 via tank 23 and distributor 19 which is operated by a cable 22 connected to the handle 21. When pressure supply is cut off and a retention pin engaged in the toothing of rack 8 is removed, the thrust head 7 falls rapidly with the assistance of a spiral spring 16.
