Abstract

1475129 Domes INTERNATIONAL CANADOME Ltd 31 May 1974 [8 June 1973] 24202/74 Heading E1W A building panel comprises a symmetrical quadrilateral modular plate which is folded along two lines symmetrically spaced on each side of a diagonal 2 of symmetry to form a central valley 3 and two triangular portions 4 lying in intersecting planes, said plate also having an extension portion 5 at each end of said diagonal which is bent from the plane of the central valley in a direction away from the triangular portions 4 to define acute angles relative to the valley. The panels are adapted to overlap to prevent ingress of rain. The plate may be bent to provide reinforcing ribs 20 and additionally bent along lines 7, (10), Fig. 1 not shown to form a ridge plane 8, a flange 9 and extension ridge planes 11. The plates may be made of aluminium, plastics or steel and may have the central valley defined by the folded diagonals 2 modified to be of greater width in the centre and may be transversely curved so as to be convex in the direction in which the triangular portions are bent, the extensions being similarly curved.
