Abstract
1474761 Crystallized sodium perborate PRODUITS CHIMIQUES UGINE KUHLMANN 6 May 1974 [8 May 1973] 19861/74 Addition to 1383655 Heading C1A A novel form of sodium perborate comprising grains having a substantially spherical shape, apparent density of from 746 to 1050 g./l., and a mean granulometry of from 240 to 600 microns is prepared by crystallization from a supersaturated sodium perforate solution having a low degree of supersaturation, wherein at least one anionic surfactant which contains at least one sulphate and/or sulphonate function attached to an alkyl and/or aryl radical containing from 2-22 carbon atoms, and optionally containing at least one hetero atom which is O, N, S and/or P. The surfactant may also contain carboxylic groups esterified with C 1-8 alcohols. Further addition which may also be present are sulphates and/or sulphonates also containing -COOH, and substances free of sulphate and sulphonate groups but containing at least one carboxylic group esterified with a C 1-8 alcohol. The sodium perborate grains and their method of production as claimed in Specification 1,383,655 are disclaimed.
