Abstract

1472625 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems CESSNA AIRCRAFT CO 6 Sept 1974 [11 Sept 1973] 38954/74 Heading G3P The output pressure of a variable displacement pump 12 adjusts a pilot valve 40 to connect the output pressure or a drain 55 to a servopiston 22 for adjusting the pump displacement, the movement of the pilot valve being opposed by a spring 45 and by fluid pressure from a line 52 connected to pump output pressure through a throttle 50 and to drain through an orifice 30 in a spring-loaded . valve 26 having a follow-up relationship with the piston 22. As the latter moves to the right to decrease the pump displacement, flow through the orifice 30 is throttled and the fluid pressure acting on the left hand end of the pilot valve 40 is increased to maintain the driving torque constant. At maximum output pressure the line 52 is connected directly with the piston 22 by an orifice 60.
