Abstract

1471221 Coaxial fittings G SPINNER 12 June 1974 [14 June 1973] 26064/74 Heading H2E A sleeve 20 having a thread 22 is adapted to be disposed between the plastics sheath 16 and outer conductor 14 of a coaxial cable and is clamped by the interaction of two clamping members 30, 32. The thread which may have the form of a sawtooth may be on a cylindrical part of the sleeve, as shown, or on a conical part (Figs. 2 and 3, not shown). The sleeve 20 may be axially slit and may be combined as one piece with the clamping member 30 (Fig. 3, not shown). The leading portion of the sleeve may be cut frusto-conically, may contain a plurality of axial slits of limited depth and may be threaded only on the trailing <SP>1</SP>/ 3 of its length (not shown).
