1470674 Analogue - to - digital conversion ANALOG DEVICES Inc 18 July 1974 [19 July 1973] 33302/76 Divided out of 1470673 Heading H3H The description is substantially the same as that of the parent Specification, but the claims relate to a dual ramp analogue-to-digital converter in which, prior to an A-to-D conversion operation, the output of the integrator is held at a given level on the same side of the datum level as the ramps and ramped down to the datum level to begin the conversion operation. The conversion operation may include a preliminary ramp-up-and-back using reference signals for deriving an error signal and in this case the gradients of all three return ramps are equal.
