Abstract

1469824 Peptizing rubbers AMERICAN CYANAMID CO 15 Aug 1974 [7 Sept 1973] 36037/74 Headings C3E and C3P Natural or butadiene-styrene rubber is plasticized by incorporating into the rubber at a temperature of 60‹ to 100‹ C. a composition comprising o,o<SP>1</SP>-dibenzamidodiphenyldisulphide and from 0À6 to 2 parts by weight per 100 parts of the said disulphide of iron phthalocyanine. Examples are given in which the said composition, comprising also hydrated aluminium silicate, is added to natural rubber, which is milled at 70‹ C. or 100‹ C.
