Abstract
1467565 Lactams; Beckmann rearrangement using acid chlorides ATO CHIMIE 28 July 1975 [1 Aug 1974] 31494/75 Heading C2C C 9-14 -Alkanolactams are made by refluxing a solution of an alicyclic oxime in an organic solvent at 60-140‹ C. for less than 20 min. in the presence of 0À5-5% by wt. (based on oxime) of an acid chloride or oxychloride derived from phosphorus or sulphur.
