Abstract
The tablets contain 150 to 350 mg of magnesium chloride and are provided with an enteric coating. The latter is obtained by coating the MgCl2-containing tablet with a solution of cellulose acetate phthalate, castor oil, ethanol and acetone, and drying. It is possible, if appropriate, to apply an intermediate layer of polyvinylpyrrolidone. The tablets are much less sensitive to moisture than those without the enteric coating. They have no unpleasant taste and dissolve only in the intestine. They are suitable for therapeutic purposes.
