Abstract

1460755 Transformer coupled square-wave oscillator LANSING BAGNALL Ltd 3 March 1975 [19 Feb 1974] 7385/74 Heading H3T A square-wave oscillator of the type in which the collector-emitter paths of two transistors 3, 4 are connected in series with the primary winding 5 of a transformer to the centre tap of which a positive supply is connected, is characterized in that the bases of the two transistors are connected by two parallel paths, one including a feedback winding 14 of the transformer and the other including a saturable-cored choke 12. The oscillator operates in the usual manner, the voltage from the feedback winding 14 being shunted by the choke once it saturates.
