Abstract
1458189 Stands C DAVIS 5 March 1974 [19 Dec 1972] 58633/72 Heading A4H A display stand for plates or show cards comprises a base and a generally upright support and is formed from two lengths of metal wire coated with a slightly resilient synthetic plastics material, one of the lengths, viz, the base member 11 or 31, being bent to form part of the base, and the other length, viz, the upright member 10 or 30 being bent to form the support and the remainder of the base, one of the members, e.g. the upright member, including a pair of spaced parallel limbs, and the other member, e.g., the base member, including a pair of tight coils 16, 17 or 32, 33 surrounding and frictionally gripping the limbs to retain the two members assembled. In Fig. 1, a single card is supported in an inclined position, its lower end engaging feet 22, 23 at A and its upper end engaging the support at B. In Fig. 2, two cards are supported in an inclined position, the lower card engaging the stand at E and F, and the upper card engaging the stand at C and D. The stand may be disassemblable.
