Abstract

1456428 Comminuting apparatus R E SMALL 22 April 1974 [23 April 1973] 17540/74 Heading B2A Apparatus for comminuting diapers and sanitary towels comprises a reservoir 16 a comminuting rotor 23 within the reservoir a motor 22 a fluid inlet, a water supply, connected by an inlet conduit 17, a sewage receptacle and a discharge conduit 18 from the reservoir. Recirculation in the reservoir may be effected by a pump 24. The inlet conduit may include a pump or siphon arrangement and the system may be controlled by a timer or by an hydraulic detector 25 responsive to water in the reservoir. The system may be wheeled into position for use with a W.C. pan 11, or be arranged on a bracket 28 and swung over the pan 11 for discharge, Fig. 3.
