Abstract
1456421 Conical mills, disc mills, hollanders BELOIT CORP 8 March 1974 [12 March 1973] 10626/74 Heading B2A A fibre-refining element, e.g. for a conical, disc or hollander refiners has fibre contacting surfaces made of an abrasion resistant, hydrolitically stable thermoplastics material having a modulus of elasticity between 0.1 x 10<SP>6</SP> to 2.0 x 10<SP>6</SP> p.s.i. and a creep limit temperature (i.e. the maximum temperature at which creep will not occur) above the normal operating temperature in the refiner. The material may be reinforced with glass fibre, may be nylon, polyethylene polyarylsulfone, polysulfone, polyphenylene sulfide, acetal homopolymer, or modified phenylene oxide. A refining disc may comprise a steel or cast iron support for the plastics covering on a plastics coated blade element.
