Abstract

1455108 Counting sheets VACUMUATIC Ltd and G S DUTTON 13 Nov 1973 [24 Nov 1972] 54393/72 Heading G4D The disclosure is the same as that of Specification 1,455,109 but the claims relate to an arrangement for positively preventing further counting after a predetermined count has been reached. This comprises a thin resilient blade which is driven between the blade 72 and the next sheet in the stack to prevent the blade adhering to the sheet. The blade (93) (Figs. 6- 8, not shown) is driven by an electromagnet which may also be used to withdraw at the start of counting. Or a manual or pneumatic device may be used to withdraw it.
