Abstract

1454411 Weighing machine L OERTLING Ltd 31 Jan 1974 [9 Jan 1973] 1241/73 Heading G1W [Also in Division F2] A weighing machine bearing includes a knife edge pivot blade 10, spaced support surfaces 13, 14 and locating means for locating the blade 10 endwise, the locating means including a locating member 20 which is engaged within a co-operating recess 19 in the knife edge 11 so that during pivotal movement the blade 10 also pivots about the locating member 20, wherein the locating member 20 is urged into engagement with the co-operating recess 19 by resilient means 21. The locating member may be a hemisphere 24, Fig. 5 (not shown), or a triangular prism 23, Fig. 4 (not shown). Fig. 7 (not shown) shows the resilient means in the form of a leaf-spring 34 carried by a pair of leaf-springs 29, 30 which provide parallel motion when urged by a screw 32 to give endwise adjustment of the blade 10.
