Abstract

1452922 Valves IV PRESSURE CONTROLLERS Ltd 16 Jan 1974 [17 Jan 1973] 2536/73 Heading F2V The pressure in outlet 2 is controlled by a valve 4 co-operating with seat 3 and actuated by a differential piston 8 having a larger upper surface 13 subjected to a loading pressure via duct 15 and a smaller lower surface 12 subjected to the outlet pressure via duct 14. The piston is sealed by diaphragms 10, 11 and/or by 0-rings (40, 50, Fig. 2B, not shown). The area ratio of surfaces 13 and 12 may be, e.g., 4 : 1, 10 : 1 or 30 : 1.
