Abstract

1452529 Load handling pallets E M GARCIA 24 Jan 1974 [2 Oct 1973] 03283/74 Heading B8H A pallet which may be made from plastics material comprises a cruciform member by means of which upper and lower loading panels (not shown) are held in spaced parallel relationship, the cruciform member comprising four pairs of walls 2 having respective openings 4 therein which are aligned with openings 5 provided in outer walls 3 which form the external side surfaces of the pallet, the aligned openings 4, 5 permitting the entry of the forks of a lift truck from any vertical side of the pallet. The upper and lower loading panels, Figs. 2 and 1 respectively (not shown) comprise orifices (8), and ribs or flanges (14) which act as anti-skid elements for the pallet, the portion of each panel at the space between each pair of walls 2 being formed with depressions (12), Fig. 7 (not shown), having orifices (13) which act as drains for surface water. Brackets 7 reinforce the pallet, which is also reinforced by hollow columns 6.
