Abstract

1451987 Knitting machines WIRKMASCHINENBAU KARL-MARX-STADT VEB 13 Feb 1974 [19 Feb 1973] 06485/74 Heading DIC A yarn stand for a flat bed knitting machine having cam carriages which circulate in a closed path is provided with a yarn stand directly mounted on the frame I of each carriage, such stand comprising a central tube 9 with bobbin holder plates 6, 7 disposed thereon at different levels and interconnected by further tubes 10, each plate 6, 7 being adapted to carry up to four yarn bobbins 5, and there being provided tensioning means 12 and, at the top of the tube 9, yarn guides 16, a knot signalling device 17 and a broken yarn end detector. The stand may have three or four holder plates, in which case it is driven separately from and in synchronism with the cam carriage and is provided with a guide. The stand is mounted on the frame 1 by means of a yoke 4 and bolts 2, 3 with the interposition of a plate 8 of shock-absorbing material. Yarn feed wheel units may be provided for the individual bobbins.
