Abstract

1451049 Fastenings for jewellery F C HUNT 24 Sept 1973 [9 Nov 1972] 51704/72 Heading A3H [Also in Division E2] A fastening, used for securing jewellery, comprising a hollow body 10, and a shackle 11 pivotally mounted on pin 12, the latch 17 engaging in a locking position, the slot 15 of the shackle 11, 17 and being releasable by means of the serrated operating portion 19 of the latch 17. The blade spring 21 urges the latch to remain in its latching position and urges the shackle 11 away from its latched position, towards an open position in which the end of the spring 21 may engage in a detent 23.
