Abstract
1450490 Preparing tricyclohexyltin halides OXON ITALIA SpA 20 Dec 1974 [28 Dec 1973] 55207/74 Heading C2J Tricyclohexyltin chlorides and bromides are prepared by reacting one mol of an addition compound, obtained by reaction of one mol of tin tetrahalide in a hydrocarbon with two moles of an aliphatic, aromatic or cyclic ether, with three mols of a Grignard reagent complexed with such an ether, the reaction being effected usually in a hydrocarbon medium and in accordance with the reaction where X is Cl or Br. The other R<SP>1</SP> 2 O may be diethylether, di-isopropyl ether, di-n-butylether, THF, methyl-THF, tetrahydropyran, dioxane, anisole or N-methylmorpholine and the reaction medium may be toluene.
