Abstract

1450038 Liquid filter case TREVELYANS (BIRMINGHAM) Ltd 15 Nov 1973 [15 Aug 1972] 37914/72 Heading BID [Also in Division B8] A filter comprises an outward flow filter element 2 (e.g. of ceramic) in a casing 5, provided with a removable closure 6 and a flexible resilient annular seal 18 of elastomeric material the flange 19 of which is urged against the casing by liquid pressure in space 7. Liquid inlets 4 and outlets 9 are provided respectively in closure 6 and casing 5. The cover 6 may have lugs which are held under castellated projections 11 in bayonet fashion.
