1449601 Display apparatus PENNANT DISPLAY & ENG Ltd 7 Sept 1973 [7 June 1972] 26452/72 Heading G5C One or more pliable sheets, comprising transparent or translucent areas with coloured or dark lines printed on them have an indication of the type of movement resultant MoirÚ fringes to be obtained when the sheet is used with a moving graticule screen. Moving display diagrams may be produced by moving a rear-illuminated transparent band 16, 17 carrying equi-spaced horizontal black lines behind a transparent viewing panel 9 bearing a diagram made up of components 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27 each comprising transparent masks provided with dark or coloured line patterns such that MoirÚ fringe patterns are seen to move in the diagram. The component masks are supplied in sheet form for individual cutting-out as required, and may have a self-adhesive backing for detachable securing to panel 9, a permanent adhesive may be used.
