Abstract

1449205 Gas liquid mixing EXXON RESEARCH & ENG CO 6 Nov 1973 51484/73 Heading B1C A distributor for introducing gas and liquid mixtures into a vessel 10 comprises a mixture inlet conduit 12, baffle means 20 in the conduit for minimising separation of gas and liquid and providing a uniform dispersion of liquid in gas and a sparger comprising rings 14, 16, operably connected to the inlet conduit. The rings have apertures 22 and are connected to conduit 12 by headers 18. As shown the baffle takes the form of an annular ring.
